New Google News Layout?

I spotted a new layout for Google News India using Chrome. Viewing the page in FF shows me the old layout. I believe, I saw the new layout as part of the initial 1% testing. I personally don’t like the current layout more than the new layout. Do you like it? Here are the screen shots.

    HATE it!!! Hate that I can't move things around. Hate that the storylines are awkwardly thinned out and not in equally sized columns like they used to be. It's hard on the eyes. Why can't I get rid of FIFA news (I don't give a wha…)? I don't care about personalized and shareable and more “random”… it's f'n news and I could already use the convenient search bar to find news on certain subjects. UGH!!! Grumble… It's almost as annoying as the redundant search bar they've added to the side of things. Google… If it ain't broke don't fix it. Adding features is one thing (yes, adding geology, astronomy, and physics news stories is cool) but the old layout was MUCH MUCH better.

    Sucks, really don't like the way the categories on the left side (world, US, sci/tech)) expand to popular stories. Ugly looking and worthless.
