Gmail Trash

Haven’t written about Google or Gmail since a while now.

Here is something that is bugging me. Gmail’s Trash says “Note: Trashed messages more than 30 days old will be automatically deleted.”

but I have emails as old as 10/25/04 in my trash??? The Spam label aslo shows a similar message and keeps it word and deletes the spam after 30 days. Why is their a difference between policies regarding spam and trash? Trash mails are better than spam for sure, but then Y do they have that message up there?

If someone finds out the reason, then do let me know. If Gmail deletes old mail in ur account then may b i am speacial and u can c the proof.

    And seems like google is not loving me. ;) Today I am getting a message when I logout, saying gmail 1000mb(limited availability). Anyone else getting it too??. :)

    I saw something like when Aaina was loging out off her a/c. I asked her to let me read that…but by that time she had closed the window….& she doesn’t even care abt. ne msgs :| .

    I never noticed it coz I never logout off my a/c when I am chkin mail from home, but when I chk it from my univ comps. I never got that message. Even after reading ur comment, I logged out and didn’t get it.

    But rarely I get those javascript alerts saying Ooops System is unavailable or smthng like dat.

    Hmm, initially when I saw that message I thought may be google wants to make Gmail public. Guess they wanna wait more!!.

    Btw, Gaurav where are those banner ads….shining gifs, flash ones on your site. Was looking for them. ;)

    Shushubh – Yea I guess. It seems like it will be in Beta forever and the irony is that every other person has a gmail account. These days they even started having gmail accounts like somename1 somename23 …lol

    Ankur – I’ll try but I am lazy…

    Govind – There is a flashy gif of a great model at top rt. and then some advertisment for gmail under it. More coming soon (ohh yea I forgot bout popups n popunders :) )

    Google News is beta since birth. I know atleast 10 applications which rarely went out of Beta… it does not exactly matter. if you are a tech head… u expect these glitches. :)
