Moved in here from US. Still don't have a car ! Reasons - 1. I don't need a car in Munich to move around. 2. BMW and MERCs ARE EXPENSIVE cars and not every German can afford to drive those vehicles ! But yes, used BMWs and Mercs especially A -Class are quite affordable. (used BMW, may be 4 years old, avg miles on it, can be had for 15K Euros. ) btw - drove BMW 1 series from Munich to Nice, France. Just wonderful. staying in munich for more that 3 years now. Moved in here from US.
Still don’t have a car !
Reasons -
1. I don’t need a car in Munich to move around.
2. BMW and MERCs ARE EXPENSIVE cars and not every German can afford to drive those vehicles !
But yes, used BMWs and Mercs especially A -Class are quite affordable. (used BMW, may be 4 years old, avg miles on it, can be had for 15K Euros. )
btw - drove BMW 1 series from Munich to Nice, France. Just wonderful.

It rocks, especially the one they show in bond movies. Even Audi is great, many germans preffer Audi. Mercedes is more of a luxury car. Have you heard of the model "Macbeth" from DC??.
