Computer Engineers and BMWs

Still have a lot of time for my class so…..

Last week my mamiji (Aunt) said that…so you will buy a BMW. I said yeah, I’ll but not now, sometime later, but how do you know that I like a BMW?

She said that she knows about 4-5 families with computer engineers and all of them have BMWs. And that is kinda true coz I have seen/met a lot of Computer Engineers who own BMWs. I personally prefer a BMW (or perhaps an Audi) over a Merc.

Computer Engineers and BMWs – is there any relation or is it just a coincidence? The reason can be that BMWs shapes are more scientific (logical) perhaps? If you are a Comp. Engg. and own/like a BMW and/or know a Comp. Engg. who owns one then do let me know :p

    Dude.. in india i am yet to see a computer engineer owning a BMW!! with the kind of salaries we get here… even M800 sounds like luxuary sometimes :P !!

    Yeah, I too like BMW. It rocks, especially the one they show in bond movies. Even Audi is great, many germans preffer Audi.

    Mercedes is more of a luxury car. Have you heard of the model “Macbeth” from DC??.

    When you talk about cars, Geramn cars lead the way I think. :)

    Govind.. Germany main toh har saada aadmi..chahe computer engineer ho yaa nahi ho.. BMW and Mercedes drive karte hain..unke liye toh this is normal. :smile:

    even i am buying a BMW.. just Neeraj aa jaaye USA….in next six months we will have one :grin:

    both of us are also Computer Engineers! :lol: We didn’t give a second thought on what car we wanted..

    hmmm even a frnd of mine in usa whose a comp eng bot a bmw n that was his first car !

    in india mercs are too common now… every tom dick n harry seem to hv one… but u would rarely find a bmw on the road…

    staying in munich for more that 3 years now. Moved in here from US.
    Still don’t have a car !
    Reasons -
    1. I don’t need a car in Munich to move around.
    2. BMW and MERCs ARE EXPENSIVE cars and not every German can afford to drive those vehicles !
    But yes, used BMWs and Mercs especially A -Class are quite affordable. (used BMW, may be 4 years old, avg miles on it, can be had for 15K Euros. )
    btw – drove BMW 1 series from Munich to Nice, France. Just wonderful.
